Our Beliefs

Read here about our basic beliefs and you can even ask a pastor a question.

Our Beliefs

Life's Purpose

We believe history is God's grand story of redeeming people He calls to Himself. Therefore, the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We are all about discovering and helping one another live an abundant life in Christ!

The Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is completely holy (set apart), loving, and just.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's inspired word to all people and is God's perfect revelation of Himself to man.

Mankind

We believe mankind, created male and female, is God's special creation made to reflect His image. All people are naturally sinful and under God's judgment. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill his purpose.

Salvation

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

The Church

We believe the church is a gathering of Christians for spiritual growth, support and making disciples of people from all nations as commanded by Christ. As a church, we observe two ordinances as prescribed by Scripture: Baptism and the Lord's Supper; both of which are a picture of the Gospel.

Baptism & The Lord's Supper

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in the power of the Holy Spirit. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to church membership.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorializing the death of Christ and anticipating His second coming.

Discipleship

A disciple of Jesus Christ is someone who has been saved by Him and is following Him as Lord, learning daily how to live life as Jesus would. Our church equips individuals to grow in discipleship on 4 levels: 1) participating and contributing to weekly worship gatherings, 2) engaging in meaningful Christian community in Sunday School or Community Groups, 3) growing in their spiritual disciplines through accountability with 3-4 close Christian friends, 4) sharing their faith with non-Christians.

More Doctrine

The above are brief explanations of our most basic beliefs. As a church, we affirm the entirety of The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 with all Scriptural grounds. For questions on our stance on current issues of theology and culture, feel free to ask one of our pastors.
